Preventive Maintenance of the Premises
The house keeping team is given the responsibility to make the premises clean and tidy. An experienced supervisor takes the lead with his experience and makes sure that the premises is always clean. The same team takes care of Pest Control and Rodent Control on regular basis and keeps the cleaning records as per the procedures mentioned in the SOP. The house keeping staff is given regular training as per the cGMP norms.
Qualification and Calibration including Recording Systems and System Validation Protocol
All the critical equipments are calibrated and records of the calibration are maintained. Written procedures are also available with the concerned departments.
Documentation:
The manufacturing and analytical records are maintained to comply with the statuary regulations. The MFRs, BMRs and BPRs are issued by the authorised concerned person and have all the details of precautions and preventive measures. Only authorised personnel handle the documents. The Plant Head and the Quality Assurance Head approve all documents.
Arrangements for handling the rejected materials
In case of any raw material being rejected by the QC Department, the container is pasted with “REJECTED” label and is transferred to the rejection room. The QC Department then contacts the firm that supplied the material and returns the material back.
Self Inspection System (Internal Audit)
We have a checklist system with a frequency of quarterly review. The internal auditors of all the concerned departments do the auditing. Number of areas where the self-inspection are conducted are as follows:
a) Production
b) Quality Control Dept.
c) Quality Assurance Dept.
d) Purchase Dept.
e) HRD
f) Utilities and maintenance
g) Administration and security & safety
All the raw materials are identified with code numbers and in-house QA numbers, which can be crosschecked with QC, stress or batch sheets. Similarly, packing materials can be traced through batch sheets.
